WAIPA.
— The great Alexandra four have heen very busy this week making necessary an angements for the reception of King Tukaroto— Le Roi Garotte. —Last Saturday some of the oldest and fairest members of the Alexandra Rink paid a visit to the Te Awainutu Club, and were most courteously received by its officers. —Alexandra will be gaily decked with bunting for the next week, as tlie residents are determined to inaugurate a carnival on the return of the chief potentate of the land. — Our Alexandra Dramatic Club gracefully submitted to the solicitations of the promoters of the royal reception, and postponed their entertainment till the following week. — A Festival was held at the opening of the Te Bore bridge on Friday last. All the magnates of the land were there to witness the official ceremony performed by the chief councillor of the Waipa district. —On the departure of our feted friends the Public Hall will be thoroughly renovated and metamorphosed under the skilful management of our local artist, Signor Filippo, whose artistic taste has been well appreciated by the connoisseurs of the district.
