The report stated that both meetings last season proved highly successful. In October, 1937, the sum of £13,627 was invested, and in March, 1938, the turnover reached £17,027 10/-, a figure which had only been exceeded three times since the foundation of the club.

The balance-sheet again showed a profit on the race meeting, and together with the rebate, a profit of £616 2/7 was shown on the year’s operations. The report and balance-sheet were adopted without comment.
