OFFICIAL CLOSING DAY. YANKEE TOURNAMENT. MOKE CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED. The official closing day of tho Thames Tennis Club's season was held on Saturday, when a Yankee tournament was played. The winners were:— Men: R. McJßae; runner-up, K. Griffin. Ladies: Miss A. Nankivell; runner-up, Miss G. Battson. •
Further tournament matches were also completed, as follows: —
Ladies' Singles Championship.— Final: Miss Ritchie beat Miss E. Bongard, 6—o, 6—o. Men's Handicap Singles.—A grade: K. Griflin beat I. Grant, 60—40.
I Ladies' Handicap Singles.—A grade: Miss Ritchie beat MTss Bongard, 50— 37.
Men's Doubles Handicap. A grade.— X. F. Rigby and I. Grant beat K. Griffin and E. Cameron, 6—53.
Ladies' Handicap Do'ubles, A grade: Miss Bongard and Miss Nankivell beat Mrs. Rigby and Miss G. Battson, 50— 42.
Men's Handicap Singles, B grade E. Cameron beat Beaver, 60—50. Ladies' Handicap Singles, B grade Miss N. Elisor beat Miss Saunders. 50—47.
Handicap Combines. A grade.—Mr. and Mrs. Rifby beat 1. Grant and Miss Bell, 60,—36. B grade: Gray and Miss Smith beat D. McLcary and Miss Paul, 50—45.
In the men's championship singles final, K. Griffin will meet J. Moran.
