North Cape To Bluff.

ONE-DAY FLIGHT % PILOT AND PASSENGER. (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, Dec. 1. E. F. Ilarvie, piloting a Gips) Moth ’plane in an attempt to fly from North Cape to the Bluff in a single day, reached Mangere aerodrome at 6.30 a.in., and left a few minutes later for Hawera. He is accompanied by Miss T. Hunter, of Wanganui, as passenger.

(The machine being used for the flight is a De Haviland Gipsy Moth, ZK —ABP, of the Western'Federated Flying Club, Hawera. It is hoped to reach Invercargill about 8.30 this evening, after stops at Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. Sq.-Ldr. M. C. McGregor, on November 12, 1931, flew a Spartan machine with air mail from Invercargill to Auckland, which is the longest' one-day flight yet recorded in the Dominion).
