i « THE QUALIFYING ROUND
RAIN CAUSES POSTPONEMENT.
The qualifying round for the senior and junior championships in the Thames Golf Club was supposed to be played off on Saturday. The weather allowed r>ome six to nine holes to be played when the committee decided to postpone the round till next Saturday. A particularly heavy hailstorm was experienced about- 3 o’clock, the greens being white with hailstones making play impossible.
Tho draw will remain as before which was:—Dr. Gray plays E. A. Mahoney; H. F. Purnell plays J. Masefield; F. Miller playp V. Boles; W. H. Baker plays W. Price; A. Fisher plays K. Hetherington; C. R. Cooke plays E. Zolirab; E. B. Clendon plays Dr. Liggins; W. H. Hoult plays C. A. Berry; C. Letford plays R., Kirk; L. Griffin plays G. A.' Jorgensen; E. A. Palmer plays R. Me-11-sop; H. G. Harden play* W. Scrimgeour; W. B. Teasdale plays C. G. Price.
The first eight in both senior and junior sections qualify.
DANCE ON THURSDAY
The Club will give the second of a series of dances on Thursday next at the Queen’s Theatre. Members and friends are cordially invited to attend. Invitations have been issued to- nonmembers of the Nplub.
