BRISBANE, August 3
The metropolitan district Labour Council expressed the opinion that the Government must shoulder responsibility for the defeat of Labour candidates at the municipal elections, and passed a resolution as follows: "This council is of the opinion that if the Government is not prepared to adhere to the principles of the Labour platform, it had better resign office."
