DISMISSAL OP THREE WELLL KNOWN MINERS.

WAIHI, February 22.
Messrs Molloy, Morgan 1," and Drumme have been dismissed during the week from the employ of tie Waahi Gold Mining Company, which event has caused much excitement and expression' of opinion! throughout the district. On- Tuesday last the schedule of wages affecting "work 1 in' " the mines and batteries, as recommended by the Thames Miners* Union' Efxecutiv*" waa"fo!nrarcled by Mr C. Moollpy^""aect;'" ing in- lns't(position~vas"Eecr^ry;.of the' local union to the managers of the Waihi mines for approval. On Wednesday Alessra Molloy and Morgan: were dismissed, and Mr Drumme on the Saturday previous. No reason was given. by the company when dismissing these men; though one of the-bosses hinted strongly at the cause.
