The latter has been rather disturbed on account ol a .buck leader that is crossing tha drive at this, poinU The crosscut has passed through these stringers, and is now in 40ft towards Hart's reef. From' the appearance of the country in the face tho manager believes that they aro closo on quartz, ac.l should this bo the case, he will open out on each, and drive hillward, so as to get .clear of the influence of' tho cross leader, and at the sumo time explore the'country that he h;is been long anxious to meet with. Tho Deep Lead shaft, and as-the drive is oxtended in this direction the manager is satisfied that the country will improve, when the prospects of meeting'with some thing good will bo very much better.
