DISTRICT HOSPITAL BOARD.
The Hospital Board also met and considered the estimates. The expenditure was given as follows :—Demand of Hospital Trustees, £1248 ; patients treated at Hospitals outside Thames district, £63 6s; travelling expenses, £15; Secretary's salary, £20; stationery, stamps and telephone, £7 16s. The estimated expenditure over revenue being £1234 2s leaves the sum of £617 Is to be equally contributed by the local bodies under the jurisdiction of the Board and the general Government. The total rateable value of the Thames and Ohineinuri Counties and Borough of Thames is £473,894. An assessment of 5-l6ths of a penny in the £ on this sum will produce the amount required from local bodies. The amount payable by each of the local bodies named herein on this basis is as follows:—
