Thames Navals.
In view of the approaching match with the Te Aroha Rifles, the Thames Navals held a practice on Saturday. With a strong wind blowing the shooting was hardly up to the standard, but still some fair scores were made:—
A handicap sweepstake also took place, Gunner G. Morrison taking Ist prize with 86, Gunner T. Schofield 2nd place with 83, P.O. Shepherd 3rd with 81, and Gunner W. Dalton <$th wfyh 81.
The following is the team chosen to fire against Te Aroha next Saturday:— Gunners D. Henderson, P. Weir, W. Grundy, W. Rose, W, Dalton, W. Thompson, G. Morrison, H. Curtis, P.O's. W Shepherd and E. Gibbons; emer., Gunners W. Sutclifie, B. Lukey, and T, Schofield.
