Ward Farmers' Association
(Per Press Association.)
Dunkdin, March 23,
In summarising the report of the liquidator of the Ward Farmers' Association the omission of a few words gives an incorrect view of the remarks concerning the evidence given by Mr Ward before the Supreme Court. What the liquidator said was: I have been unable to discover that any losses made by the Association were debited to him (Ward). On the contrary, I find that the Association has borne all its own losses. He then enumerates the transactions in wool and grain by Mr Ward, resulting in losses totalling £1221. These items were at first debited to Mr Ward, but subsequently reverse entries Avere made crediting his account and debiting the Association.
