(Per Press Association.). Wangantji, March 19. At the Cash Cycling Sports, Barker (Christchurch) won the 3 Mile Championship of New Zealand. The time was Biuins 13secs. For the Grand Cycle Handicap, Barker, Hunt, and Forbes tied with six points each. Lyon won the mile, with Blade (Masterton) second. Time, 2mins 27 2-ssecs. Barker won the three miles and Forbes the five miles. Twenty-two started in the three mile, and at the third lap j from home ten came down, Lisle j (Wellington).receiving a wound on the temple. Sydney, March 18. j Megson has lowered Lesna's mile record, coveriug the distance in lmin. 48 3-Bsecs. |
