Large numbers of the Limerick police force threaten to resign if those who took a prominent part in the recent strike are removed.
London, August 28.
The agitation amongst the Constabulary is extending iv Limerick, and a great number of men in that district have resigned owing to the dismissal of the leaders of the agitation. The Great Cricket Match. The cricket match England versus Australians was commenced to-day at the Oval. At the close of the day's play the scores stood as follows:—-Australians, first innings, 63; all England, first innings, 101.
