Victorian Politics (12.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Sept. 30. Following the acceptance by the Governor (Major-General Sir Winston Dugan) on Saturday of the resignation of the Premier (Mr A. A. Dunstan) the Governor sent for Mr John Cain (State Labour Leader), but what advice Mr Cain tendered is not yet known. Mr Cain is seeing the Governor again on Monday. There were no other developments at the week-er.' but two courses are open (1) The formation pending an election of a Labour administration and (2) a “Caretaker' Government of Liberals led by Mr lan Macfarlane, at present Attorney-General. Parliament would grant the necessary supply in either case. A decision is probable on Monday.
