“BROWNED OFF”
Troops In Italy (Official War Correspondent N.Z.E.F.) ROME. September 25. Everyone in the Division would appreciate a definite statement whether they can resign themselves to another winter in Italy or can expect to return in the next few months. The “browned off” feeling, due largely to the indefiniteness, has been deepened by the general experience of the receipt of letters from home expressing the belief that the men will be sailing Immediately and discussing plans for early reunions.
