HONEY INDUSTRY
Freedom From Control (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. It will not be necessary to continue the Honey Marketing Emergency Regulations next season, the Minister of Marketing (the Hon. B. Roberts), announced to-day. The end of the war had removed the need for obtaining priority supplies for military forces, military’ hospitals and patriotic and prisoner of war parcels, and when the 1945 regulations expired at the end ot November they would not be renewed. The Internal Marketing Division would continue to operate its honey blending and packing plant in Auckland on a voluntary basis as before the war. and beekeepers in all parts of tire Dominion would be at liberty to forward honey to it for processuig for local sale and export, if shipping space was available. The Minister said the future ot the honev industry in New Zealand depended on the continuation of orderly marketing both for local and export sales.
