Miniature Rifle Club T. Kelliher won the championship trophy for the season with 705 points. E. Harper scored 704, G. Park 703 and P. Martin 702. E. Harper won the handicap aggregate. At the final night’s shoot held on Monday the weekly trophy went to P. Martin, the Mayo button to P. Caird and the Leach button to P. Martin. Scores: P. Martin, J. Slattery 79: E. Harper, G. Park. F. Wintry Weather After a spell of fine weather, rain began to fall on Saturday evening and was still coming down yesterday morning. Rivers are running high, the Makikihi being across the main road. Cars are unable to negotiate the water under their own power and are being towed through by the Highways Board’s grader. Heavy rain is falling in the higher country and farm work will be held up for some time. Snow fell on the Hunter Hills.
