BASKETBALL
Sir,—Would the “powers that be” I tn basketball management please ex- ' plain why Mr Armstrong, who has i coached two teams all through the season, given up much time to the sport, refereeing competition games every Saturday, showed a live interest in the players, and been ever readv to give advice and explain various points to them, was dropped as referee for Saturday’s representative match? As a keen enthusiast for the game it is my considered opinion and also that of many players that it was an action of ingratitude and discourtesy.—l am, etc.. Fair Play.
