WAIMATE RUGBY
Sir,- Followers of Rugby who went to Manchester Park last Saturday expecting to see a bright game were disappointed. The grounds were more like a duck pond than a football ground. The teams cannot be blamed for such an exhibition. The Rip Van Winkles who control the game persist in using the main ground. - ; throughout the season when they were definitely unfit for play. No. 3 ground is in perfect order. This is not fair to tile players, spectators or to the grounds. The number of fair-weather spectators who occupy the stand are the only ones considered. I doub; if the great majority of those in the stand would not prefer seeing the game played on dry grounds, even if they should have to use the sideline.—l am, etc., Rugby Follower.
