MILFORD

Football Match Milford and Clandeboye residents gathered on Mr W. Seward’s property when their respective football teams met in what was, in former years, an annual fixture. The play was fast and open. The forwards were well matched, but the Clandeboye backs made the most of their opportunities in the first spell. For the visitors M. Boocock scored three tries, one of which was converted. The home team failed to score. Mr E. R. Comer was referee. The teams were afterwards entertained by the Milford ladies. A return match is to be played in about three weeks’ time. An enjoyable dance was held in the evening in the Milford Hall. Mr G Turley was M.C.
