Settlement Question (N.Z.P.A.) WHANGAREI, May 30. The Hon. Q. F. Skinner, Minister of Rehabilitation, who is touring the far north, had impressed upon him the unique claims of the territory for the settlement of returned servicemen on the land. The mild climate, fertile soil and comparative cheapness of the land were emphasised, one speaker instancing cases where men were placed on the land at a cost of £5O a cow against £lOO in other areas.
