POULTRY FEED
No Need For Alarm (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. “There should be no cause for undue alarm, as the present acute position regarding poultry food can be obviated,” said the chairman of the New Zealand Poultry Board (Mr W. G. Spencer), commenting on the poultry food situation. Mr Spencer said that a scheme for the equitable distribution of poultry foods had been drawn up by the Poultry Board and had been approved by the authorities concerned. The Wheat and Flour Controller and the Department of Agriculture had been consulted and an assurance had been given that ample stocks of wheat would be available. Pollard and bran would be in shorter supply than previously, but equitable distribution would enable poultrykeepers to carry on successfully.
