SATURDAY MORNING CLASSES
Innovation At Technical College Two Saturday morning classes for primary school pupils selected from local schools are to start at the Timaru Technical College tomorrow. There will be a class for drawing, painting and lino cuts in charge of Miss I. C. L. Jones and the second class will be in craftwork, needlework and leatherwork, in charge of Miss L. J. Agnew. The Principal (Mr G. Hill) explained to the Board of Managers at their meeting last night that the headmaster of the Timaru primary schools were most willing to co-operate with the scheme. “The purpose is to provide more opportunity for talent in the primary schools and we have been swamped -with requests to join the classes,” said Mr Hill.
