ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND
Airmen From New Zealand
LONDON. Jan. 3.
Group Captain A, J. M. Manson has arrived in London and taken up his duties at Air Headquarters. He was in a ship which had a fast uneventful voyage from New Zealand.
Other passengers included Captain R. H. Bevan and 20 Fleet Air Arm candidates under the charge of PettyOfficer N. P. Trent. Flight Lieutenant W. V. C. Compton, D.F.C. and bar, who joined the New Zealand Spitfire Squadron as a sergeant, has been promoted to Squadron Leader and commands the squadron recently led by Squadron Leader Colin Gray, D.F.C and bar. of Gisborne, who lias bee. transferred.
