BAND TO ASSIST AT HARVEST FESTIVAL
It was decided at a meeting of he executive of the Temuka Municipal Band Committee that the band should take part in the Salvation Army”s Harvest Festival celebration to be held in the Salvation Army Citadel on March 2, when Mr Tumai Tareawa, the blind piano-accordion player, will assist. The resignation of the secretary of the social committee (Mr J. Allfreyt was received. Mr V. Thomas, conductor of the band, spoke highly of the valuable services rendered by Mr Allfrey during the 18 months he was secretary for the social committee. Mr T. N. Scott was appointed to the position.
