DEFENCE OF TONGA
Offer By Queen (Rec. 6.30 p.m. RUGBY, May 8. The Colonial Secretary (Lord Lloyd) in a message of thanks to the Queen of Tonga—Friendly Islands—for the offer to contribute £20,000 yearly for two years toward the defence of Tonga, says: "The Government and people of Tonga have given under your leadership much encouraging evidence of their determination to further the common cause.”
