The following message has been dispatched to his Majesty by the Gov-ernor-General: “On this day set a* le for the observance of your Majesty’s birthday in New Zealand, I beg to tender your Majesty, with my humble duty, on behalf of the Government and people in this Dominion, most loyal, respectful congratulations and good wishes, and to assure you of their unwavering devotion to your Majesty’s throne and person. All in New Zealand pray for the continued safety and weDbelng of your Majesty and the Queen in the difficult days through which the Motherland and Empire are passing’
