FAT cattle dearer By Telegraph Press Association DUNEDIN. November 20. Fat cattle had a yarding of 198 head at Burnside to-day. Prices were 10/a head better than last week at the opening but as the sale progressed there was a firming of a further 20/-. Heavy steers made £2O/2/- to £24/2/6, prime £l7/16/6 to £l9/12/6, medium £ls'7/6 to £l6/12/6, light £l2/2/6 to £l3/12/6, prime cows and heifers to £l5/12.6, medium £lO/2/6 to £l2/12/6, light £B/12/6 to £9/17/6, unfinished to £7/17/6. Fat Lambs In the fat lamb pens there was a much smaller entry and a good sale resulted, prices being 3/- to 5/- better. Heavy lambs made to 36/-, ordinary 28/- to 32/6 and light to 26/-. Pigs A yarding of 200 fat pigs sold at last week’s rates. Best baconers made to £4/19/- and best porkers to £3/17/-. About 100 store pigs sold well at late rates. Fat Sheep There was an entry of 1585 and values were 2/- to 3/- easier all round. Heavy shorn wethers made from 33/to 39/6, medium 29/- to 31/6, light 25/6 to 27/6, heavy young shorn ewes 28/to 32/9, light 19/- to 23/6, heavy woolly ewes 35/- to 38/-. prime 30/- to 33/-, heavy woolly wethers to 42/6, prime 36/- to 38/6.
