Signor Mussolini addressing Black Shirts and academy students said: “Italy is ready to face whatever this late spring brings. Events we are witnessing have great proportions but we are able to meet them in spite of thei. unusual scope. A year ago wc liberated a people in three days. Previously we conquered the African Empire in seven months. (The references were to Albania and Ethiopia.) The Italian press reveals that the army is using a new armoured car with a speed of 100 miles an hour, three machine-guns and bullet proof tyres. It can be driven backwards or forwards.
