Fred Henneberry is finalising a contract to fight Ben Brown, a leading middle-weight, at Madison Square Garden on December 20. The winner is to fight Garcia for the title at the end of January. If Henneberry’s form is good, a light-heavy-weight title bout against Conn will follow. This would have been a certainty if Henneberry had beaten Abrams on November 17.
