CAREFUL SELECTION URGED United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph —Copyright SYDNEY, November 2 The Jewish Welfare Society is strongly opposed to the proposal that a special steamer with only Jewish migrants should leave Germany for Australia in December and the society has cabled its London office asking that steps should be taken to check the proposal. While desirous of helping as many distressed Jew’s as possible, th: society considers that the migrants should be carefully selected and it would be very difficult to absorb a large shipload at once.
