The Mezican Ambassador, after a conference with the Under-Secretary (Mr Welles), announced that their Governments had virtually agreed on the issues presented by Mexico’s expropriation of American-owned farmlands. A definite final agreement is expected shortly. It was reported that the United States was anxious to clear up this question before attempting to negotiate in the matter of the petroleum expropriation.
