Mrs Don Sutton, the wife of a British Columbia coalminer, was perplexed for a nom de plume when a black cat entered her home and refused to leave, so she signed "Black Cat.” Miss Dora Smith, an Ontario beautician, bought a ticket against the reproof of her widowed mother on the grounds of extravagance.
