Excellent music wa.s provided and a ; very enjoyable evening resulted. Novel- | ty dances were won by the following: Lucky spot waltz, Miss Bateman and Mr P. Perry; traffic cop fox trot. Miss *■ M. Norton and Mr E. Loomes; lucky spot waltz. Miss H. Mackenzie and Mr N. Campbell. TALK ON ANIMAL DISEASES Quite a number of Mount Nessing farmers met at the residence of Mr P ■ Kidd to hear an interesting talk on I diseases of sheep and other animals, by j Mr Pearson, of Gore. The speaker ; imparted much valuable information | and a vote of thanks was iccorded | to him. PERSONAL Miss Clare Smith, "Gala Braes,” is spending a month’s holiday in Timaru and Waimate. Mrs G. A. Winter, “Ranui, has returned after an extended holiday in the North Island. Miss Rona Rutherford will leave for Christchurch at the beginning of this week.
