RAINFALL IN 1937 The following is the rainfall record for 1937: Inches. January 3.53 February 2.40 March 2.02 April 1.30 May 1.99 June 1.98 July 67 August 76 September 55 October 89 November 1.67 December 7.81 Total 25.57
The rainfall for 1936 was 37.12 inches. Boisterous weather was experienced during the week-end. The followingamounts of rain were recorded .at 9 a.m. as follows: Saturday Bth, 132 points, Sunday 9th, 50 points, Monday 10th 114 points, making a total of 296 points. Rivers and creeks have been running high and the roads have been badly scoured in places by stormwater. The conditions experienced over the week-end will have an adverse effect on farming operations. Wheat and oats have in many cases been badly tangled making the prospect of successful harvesting very gloomy. Several crops of late sown turnips have been practically ruined and late shearing is again held up.
