TRAVEL BY AIR
QUIET AND COMFORTABLE By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, January 6. "I enjoyed the trip, every minute ot it,” said the Minister in Charge of Aviation, the Hon. F. Jones, in giving an Interview to-day of some of his impressions of the trip he made in .'re Imperial Airways flying-boat Centaurus. Mr Jones Joined the Centaurus at Wellington and made the flight to Lyttelton and Dunedin and back to the capital. Mr Jones said the low-lying fog experienced on the trip south demonstrated clearly the value of having weather reports and radio services for aircraft. The trip north was occasionally a little bumpy, but he was pleased because it gave some idea just how good the flying boat was in rough stretches. She behaved very well indeed. The visit of the Centaurus to the Dominion had given the people a wonderful opportunity of seeing how far aircraft had been developed in Great Britain. He had been surprised to find how steady the boat was, the little noise it made and the comfort of travelling by it.
