BOY MISSING
RIVER BEING DRAGGED By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, January 6. No trace of the child having been found elsewhere, it is feared that Robert Tavendale, seven-year-old son of Mr A. C. Tavendale, Dale Street, Kaiapoi, who has been missing since Tuesday afternoon, has fallen into the river, and dragging operations are being carried out. The boy was rescued from the river on Tuesday morning, when he fell out of a boat. He was last seen near the riverbank at the corner of Smith and Charles Streets.
