JUDGE RETIRES
CHANGE IN PERSONNEL OF UNITED STATES COURT United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 6, 6.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, January 5. Mr Justice Sutherland has retired from the Supreme Court bench under the provisions of last year’s Supreme Court Act. Hence he will retain his full salary of 20.000 dollars annually. He is aged seventy-six. His retirement strengthens the position of the socalled Liberal majority.
