BOMBER CRASHES
LUCKY ESCAPE OF CREW United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 5, 6.30 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, January 4. An army bombing plane, with a crew of five, crashed in the bay, after sending a radio for aid, and empting her p-trdl tanks in an effort to remain aloft. The plane struck the water near the oil derrick in a thick fog. A navy tug found the crew clinging to the floating machine. No one wastinjured.
