MAORI RETURNS BY TRAWLER United Press Association —Ry Electric Telegraph writ? nt SYDNEY, July 19. Aboard the new trawler Saint Lolan which is due at Sydney to-night from England, is a Maori, Para Amahana, who in consequence of his father’s death, is returning to New Zealand to rule his tribe of 1000 Maoris.
Para Amahana, according to “The Sydney Sun,” displayed conspicuous bravery during a fire in the Saint Lolan’s bunkers while the vessel was between Dakar and Capetown. He wiUi the chief engineer, descended into the bunker and assisted in fighting the outbreak. Amahana left New Zealand six years ago and has since worked in North London.
