Crossing the world In the yacht Idle Hour, Dwight Long, who left Seattle in 1934, arrived at Ramsgate, after sailing 30,000 miles. The sails were blown out in the Channel, and his companion, Wilbur Thomas, fell overboard, but was rescued.
