CARD PARTY
GERALDINE BOWLING CLUB Organised by the Geraldine Bowling Club, in aid of its funds, a bridge and euchre evening held in the Town Hall on Thursday, proved an outstanding success. Mr and Mrs A. G. Brown were in charge of the bridge tables, and Mr and Mrs A. J. Burmester, of the euchre. The winners were as as follows: Bridge: Ladies, Mrs Oswald Garden (Dunedin); men, Mr A. G. Brown. Euchre.—Ladies, Mrs D. Barrett 1, Mrs N. Brown 2, Mrs F. Chapman 3; men, Mr N. Brown 1, Mr C. Stock 2, Mr J. Stevenson 3. Wives of the members, under Mesdames A. J. Burmester and H. V. Firman, served supper. The winner of a competition for a cake was Mr A. Gardiner, who very kindly handed it back to the club for sale.
