LADIES’ NIGHT A very entertaining programme was presented by members of the South Canterbury Savage Club last night when the annual concert and dance was held in the Bay Tea rooms. Great Chief R. L. Eames, who was inducted by Ex-Chief G. H. Andrews as chairman for the evening extended a warm welcome and hoped the. concert and dance would prove enjoyable to all.
Those who contributed items were Warrior Jones, Savages Thomas and Griffiths, W. Packard, Lewis, Mathews, Francis, McKivett and Wilkinson. An orchestra and choir gave several enjoyable Items and a sketch entitled “Settled Out of Court” was presented by Warriors H. W. Brownie and B. Baxter.
