BENEDICTS BALL AT WINCHESTER
There was a very large attendance at the Winchester benedicts’ annual ball. Tile hall was lavishly decorated with multi-coloured streamers and greenery. The success of the evening was due to the chairman, Mr W. J. Jackson, and the secretary, Mr N. G. South, who were backed up by an energetic committee. Extras were played by Miss M. Blissett and Mr H. Meredith. Novelty dances were won by Mrs D. A. Pearce and Mr W. Stirling; Miss B. Baldock and Mr B. Killoh. Messrs W. J. Jackson, W. Waple and J. J. Kenny were masters of ceremonies.
Mr J. Cripps on behalf of the bachelors and spinsters returned thanks to the benedicts for the enjoyable evening.
