ORARI BRIDGE

TENNIS COMMITTEE At a meeting of the Orari Bridge tennis committee the following members were present: Miss E. McLean (president), Misses Olive Ford (secretary), Joyce Ford, Ileen Thornley and Mrs Quigley, Messrs W. South, J. Slattery, Alec Morris and Allan Morris. The members of the Geraldine Post Office Club entered a challenge for a friendly match and it was hoped to arrange it after Easter. A review of the Club’s finances was made and it was decided to hold a dance on March 23 in order to augment the funds. WEATHER Showery weather with wintry conditions has been experienced at Orari Bridge during the last few days. Harvesting operations have been delayed, and those farmers who had thought to avail themselves of the header harvesters have been unable to get their crops harvested. At Mr L. Coulter’s 9 points of rain was registeredw on Tuesday.
