DISPUTE OVER HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT SCHMELING SEEKS TITLE United press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 3, 10.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 3. Max Schmeling arrived to-day. He said he was confident that James Braddock would meet him on June 3. “I am sure the courts will not permit a violation of the contract,” said Schmeling. “I am not worried over the boycott threats.” Meanwhile the Madison Square Garden authorities filed a suit of 50,000 dollars against Max Baer, his manager (Mr Hoffman) and BrigadierGeneral Critchley. The matchmaker, Mr Hull, announced that he would not attempt to halt Max Baer's sailing today but he would instruct his legal representatives In London to continue the effort to collect damages.
