2YA TO BE SUPPLANTED TO-MORROW By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, December 26 The new 60 kilowatt transmitter at Titahi Bay wlil be put on trial as opportunity offers. The installation is now almost completed, and it is intended to put it on trial rims after the ordinary hours of transmission. The date of the official opening is January 25, but from next Tuesday the new transmitter will take over the programmes of the present 2YA for purposes of testing. Should stoppages be necessary the present 2YA transmitter will take over the running
