FUTILE SEARCH
NO NEWS OF MISSING VIKING United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 26. 11.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 26 The yacht Wanderer and her crew of five entered the harbour this afternoon under full sail and a jury rudder. She reported having covered 1250 miles in the Tasman Sea in a fruitless search for the Viking. The crew of the Wanderer are all well but had an unpleasant task generally, the roughest time being when the rudder carried away, five days after leaving Sydney. Some anxiety was felt yesterday evening concerning the whereabouts of the Wanderer which was sighted off the coast this morning and then disappeared. She was resighted in the afternoon, but again disappeared, and was finally located to-day by aeroplane, heading for Sydney.
