“COMING OF AGE” PARTY
To celebrate the coming of age of her daughter Rowan, Mrs S. Bryant gave a delightful birthday party in the Toe H Hall. Geraldine, when many friends were present. Games, competitions and dancing were indulged in throughout the evening. A delicious supper was served, a feature of which was the beautifully iced cake, which was decorated with kewpies. After supper, on behalf of her friends. Mr T. Downes extended congratulations to the guest of honour and wished her many years of future happiness.
Mr K. Wallach supplied music for the dancing and Mr T. Downes was M.C. Competitions were won by Mr H. Knibb’s group; Miss Joyce Boutherway and Mr T. Downes and Miss Lucy Henry and Mr K. Woolhouse. Mr and Mrs W. Smith were the winners of a Monte Carlo waltz.
