* NOUGAT BISCUITS £ X Half a cup rolled oats, i! cup X X flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon >:• X golden syrup, 2 tablespoons hot £ .j. water, 1 teaspoon soda, 4ozs X butter. Mix oats, flour and X •j sugar together. Melt the butter, -IX add syrup and water to it. X •> Remove from the fire, add soda, X then stir in dry ingredients. Mix X well and drop in spoonfuls on a ■> X greased oven slide. Leave room X ❖ for spreading. Bake in a ❖ X moderate oven. X
